Song dedication generator

Pick the occasion, add their name and two or three memories or inside jokes, and choose a tone. You get a short dedication for a card and a song brief with title, verse and chorus hook ideas you can use anywhere. Free, no account, and it runs entirely in your browser.

This tool runs in your browser. What you type here is not sent to our server and is not saved. Closing or reloading the page clears it.

1. Occasion
2. Two or three memories or inside jokes

Short phrases work best. The first one is required.

3. Tone

How to get a dedication that sounds like you

  1. Pick memories only the two of you would recognize: a place, a habit, a phrase. “The ferry ride where we shared one umbrella” beats “all the good times”.
  2. Keep each memory short, like the name of a photo. The generator places them into the sentences for you.
  3. Choose the tone the person would enjoy, not the one a card is supposed to have. Funny is fine for an anniversary if that is how you talk.
  4. Edit the result. Change a word, add a line, cut what doesn’t sound like you. It is a starting point.

Using the song brief

The brief is a plan, not finished lyrics: title ideas, what each verse could describe, a few chorus hooks, and a style that fits the tone. Hand it to a friend who plays guitar, use it for a toast, or keep it as notes for writing your own song. Write your own words rather than borrowing lines from existing songs.

What this tool can and cannot do

It fills hand-written templates with your words. It does not use AI, it does not know the person, and it will sometimes produce a sentence that reads a little stiffly, especially with long memories. Read it out loud before you use it.

Nothing you type is uploaded: the text is put together by code running in this page. The page still loads its own files like every page on this site, but none of those requests include what you type.

Questions

Is what I type sent anywhere or saved?

No. The generator is plain code that runs in your browser tab. The names and memories you type are not sent to our server, not saved, and not used to train anything. Reloading or closing the page clears them.

Does it use AI?

No. It fills fixed, hand-written templates with your words, chosen by occasion and tone. The same details always give the same text, and “Try another wording” switches to a different template.

Can I use the message and song brief anywhere?

Yes. Copy them into a card, a toast, a text message, or hand the brief to a friend who plays guitar or to any songwriting tool you like. You don’t need to credit SongMyGift.

How do I get a better result?

Use short, specific memories: “the ferry ride where we shared one umbrella” works better than “all the good times”. Inside jokes and small habits make the strongest lines. Edit the result freely; it is a starting point, not a finished poem.

Will it write the song lyrics for me?

Not full lyrics. It gives you title ideas, what each verse could be about, and a few chorus hooks to build on. If you want a finished song, the paid SongMyGift order writes lyrics and makes the music from your story.

What does the paid SongMyGift song add?

An original song made with AI from the story you type in the order form: AI writes the lyrics and makes the music and the singing voice, on a gift page you can send. US$9.99, paid once, plus any tax shown at checkout. One new version is included. It is not a human singer.
