Guides · How it works
How AI personalized song gifts work, plainly explained
Personalized song gifts are made in different ways: some by people, some by AI. SongMyGift uses AI for both the words and the music. Here is exactly what that means, so you know what you are buying.
General gift advice, updated 2026-10-30. Examples are made up. Songs are made with AI, not by a human singer.
From story to song
- You answer a few questions: who it is for, the occasion, how you know them, one memory, an inside phrase, a genre and a tone.
- You pay US$9.99 once through Lemon Squeezy. Nothing is generated before payment is confirmed.
- An AI language model writes original lyrics from your details. If that model is unavailable, a built-in writer produces them instead, and the page says so.
- An AI music model turns the lyrics into a song, including the music and the singing voice.
- You get a gift page with the player, the lyrics following along, your note, and a link to send.
What it is not
- Not a human songwriter, singer or band. No person writes or performs your song.
- Not a cloned voice. SongMyGift does not imitate real artists or write in the style of a named singer.
- Not a cover of an existing song. The lyrics and music are generated new for your story.
- Not a promise of a delivery date or of a perfect song.
Honest limits
Quality varies. A song can be uneven, a bit cheesy, or a poor musical fit, and you cannot control the exact length, tempo or voice. That is why one new version is included with each order.
Copyright in AI-generated music is unsettled. You get a personal license to download, play and share the song as a gift. The terms explain the details, including which music providers may be used.
Refunds and privacy, in short
Refunds cover a file that does not work and cannot be fixed, a product materially not as described, or a duplicate charge. A song that plays and follows your story but is not to your taste is what the new version is for.
Your story is stored so the gift link keeps working. It is not sold, and the site runs no advertising trackers. You can ask for deletion by email.
Turn your story into their song.
A few questions, then US$9.99 once. Lyrics and music are generated with AI after payment is confirmed. One new version included. No account, no subscription.

Can I hear an example?
Yes. The sample gift page plays a real AI-generated song made for Maya and Alex, a made-up couple. They are not customers, and it is not a review.
